Hey Everyone, welcome to my blog, "Ive Graduate, Now What?"
I've decided to start writing on my life after college. Why?
Well, I find it fascinating that I have jumped off the education cliff and am furiously trying to swim onto a proverbial island of landing a job. Right now, I am swimming with the sharks. Hopefully, and I am sure of it, I am not the only one.
Now, I am proud of the college I went to. Brooklyn College, the poor man's Harvard. I had some excellent professors and courses, but looking back, I wish there was a class on how to market yourself. Seriously! As I am writing more and more cover letters, and participating in interviews, I am learning the name of the game is how to sell yourself. Not only to others, but to yourself as well. Something I am personally struggling with is rewarding/ forgiving myself and appreciating all of my skills and achievements.
I hope my blog can stimulate ways to do just that. I want to help myself and others achieve confidence and success as they navigate the career paths out there. From humor, humility, financial advice and support, I am here to encourage and excite recent graduates to be proud and realize their potential.
